Mental Health Skill Building Services

(MMHS) Clients with severe mental illness over 18 years covered under Medicaid

Mental Health Skill Building Services provide structured activities and on-going support and guidance toward meeting an individualized service plan (ISP) which include independent living skills goals. Individual sessions are offered at home and in the community to address deficits in skills that are preventing the individual from functioning independently in the society as well as family education, as appropriate, to help strengthen communication, interactions, and skills. Services are recommended for individuals aged 18 and older.

Skill Building Services also provide:

  • Training and reinforcement of functional skills and appropriate behavior related to the individual’s health and safety.
  • Monitoring and education regarding mental health, nutrition, and physical condition.
  • Increased connection with community resources.

Social Services

We also have experts to help you with the following:
  • Gain United States citizenship (if you are not qualified to take the exam).
  • Apply for Social Security benefits (Example: SSDA, SSA, SSI, and Medicare)
  • Apply Medicaid and food stamps.
